Where It All Began
The painting “Cottage” explored the integration of abstract painting’s space (color and geometric forms) with an object — a house. This led to the discovery of new meaning through an understanding of the integrity of objects.
“Cottage” holds a special place in the Geometric Impressionism series: it is the first painting to feature a geometric element, marking the starting point of the style itself. Oil on canvas, stretched on subframes, 80 x 80 cm, 2025.
